Dehumidifiers with growing room-specific water removal ratings have no equal. When reading water removal rates on other dehumidifiers, keep this fact in mind; in general these devices will be rated at 32 degrees with an 80% relative humidity reading; however a machine which claims 50 litres in these conditions would likely only pull approximately 60% of this figure in real grow room conditions.
Assuming there is no extraction in place, every drop of water consumed by plants will evaporate back into the room via transpiration through their leaves and back into the room; thus if your garden consumes 50 litres daily it would require dehumidifying 50 litres daily to control humidity throughout all stages of growth. It may be difficult to gauge exactly how much your garden will drink until the full flower has set in; we have discovered that for every 1000W of light, you have, about 10 L of dehumidification should provide total control of relative humidity throughout all stages of growth.
