Origin is the O.G. dripper system from Nutriculture and is as simple to use as a pot, but with less maintenance thanks to the timer which automates feeding.

The pots are filled with your chosen growing medium, you set the timer to the desired feeding duration and frequency, and a pump delivers nutrient solution through the drippers into the pots. Perfect if you want the familiarity of pots and the increased yields produced by plants fed little and often.

Origin drip irrigation systems are designed to provide high yields in as simple a way as possible.

Available in a range of sizes to suit the modern grower, the Origin system has been developed to include:

  • Improved spacing between pots
  • A handy nutrient mixing tap
  • Easier access to the reservoir

How to use the Origin (Wilma System)

For both new and experienced growers, the Origin (Wilma) System can be a wonderful system. It takes only minutes to put the whole thing together. Place the reservoir at the right place in your grow room, then put the top tray on top and place the pots. The pump and distribution pipes should be installed. Your substrate, such as coco, rockwool or clay pebbles, should be filled into the pots. Connect the drip-lines to the pots using the pipe. Add your nutrition, boosters, and other additives to the reservoir according to your food schedule. Place your plants in the pots. Next, insert the drippers to the substrate of each pot. To control water flow and switch on the pump, most growers use a 24-hour timer like the Grasslin. Once you have set your time-switch correctly, connect it to a mains socket and turn on. The timer will turn on the water pump. Now the pump will water your plants in accordance with the program you've set. Segmental timers generally have at least a 15 minute on-period. Small plants made of clay pebbles should have at least two to three 15-minute feeds daily spread throughout the lights-on period. Start with just one to two 15-minute feeds per day for small plants that are dependent on water. As your plants get larger, you will need to increase the amount of feeds that are given for both media. To allow your soil plants to be fed less frequently, we suggest purchasing a seven-day timer.
