These are the most common questions that we receive about tents.

What should I look for in a good indoor grow tent?

Poles: Make sure you choose strong poles that will not bend under the strain of lights or fans.

Canvas: A strong canvas, with a thick weave, is essential.

Stitching: Tents that are durable for growing and should have tight stitches to hold the canvas together stopping any splitting. This adds strength around tent zips and in corners.

Corners: Attention to corner parts. Corners hold together the frame. When you hang equipment, the corners must be strong enough for the tent accessories to weigh down.

Interior: Choose a tent that is reflective. The more reflective the interior, the less light gets lost to the walls and more light will reach the plants.

Access: Last but not least, ensure that there are sufficient access points and they are located in the correct places.

Do I need a grow tent?

You have many reasons to pick a growing tent. Firstly, it's cheaper. It doesn't take a large space to heat, cool, and humidify. Running costs are lower.

What are the STANDARD TENT SIZES?

Large Tent for Growing (1.5m x 1.5m).

XL Tent (1.2 x 1.2m).

XXL Tent (1.2mx2.4m tent).

These tents measure 2m in height.

HOW DO I KNOW WHAT SIZE TENT TO BUY?

It should have enough room for all your equipment, growing system and plants. Also, remember to consider your grow lights. You want the tent to have the right light intensity. Lights have a coverage area, so make sure the lights cover the area you want and buy accordingly.

HOW MANY GROWING TENTS DO YOU NEED?

You only require one hydroponic tent. If you are looking to increase the number of cycles in your year, at minimum you should have two tents. One for propagating, vegging and one for flowering. Two tents allow you to start growing a new crop even if your current one is still in flower. Three tents are best for the most effective results. One tent should be used for every stage of development. You'd be best to keep your mother plants in their own tents.

Do I need a MOTHER PLANT TENT?

Ideally, yes. Although some growers will keep the mother plant inside their veg tents, they have different needs. She will be much taller than other plants in the vegging tent so it won't work for you to keep her there. The mother plant needs a tent or at the very least a compartment within a multi-chamber tent to get the best results.

HOW TO SET UP A GROW TENT?

It all depends on which brand you choose, but generally, the canvas is laid out and then the frame is built inside it. After the frame has been constructed, simply slide the canvas onto the frame to zip it.
